1) Innovative design is solid when erected, yet knocks down in seconds for easy traveling. It connects via hemp straps on the sides.

2) The yoga bench is made from earth-friendly 100% recycled content wood fiberboard with no added formaldehyde.

3) Non-toxic beeswax finish protects and gives the meditation stool a dark honey sheen.

4) This seiza bench comes in three sizes. This allows positions other than kneeling, such as Burmese (cross-legged), and "sky" (perching).

5) The bottom of the leg is slightly curved in the front half and straight in the back. The front half is gently rounded to allow the yoga bench to move with the needs of the sitter. This adjusts the angle of the seat to whatever is needed and yet the back half is flat to keep the bench from rocking backwards too far.

6) The meditation bench weighs only four pounds. It easily packs in a suitcase or backpack because the pieces are not connected.

More Details

This meditation stool is environmentally-friendly: Made from a Forest Certified, 100% recycled wood content composite material called Medite II. This is a wood fiber product that uses wood scraps that would otherwise be discarded. A strap made of hemp webbing slips over the knob on each side to hold the bench together. The kneeling bench is hand-finished with a non-toxic finish (linseed oil, beeswax, and pine resin) to give it a dark honey sheen.

The seiza bench is lightweight, made from 1/2 inch material and weighs only 4 lbs.

This meditation bench is made by Carolina Morning who is committed to bringing planet friendly products to the market. Often earth-friendly materials are harder to locate than standard materials. Making a 'greener' product can also require extra effort due to general lack of knowledge about these innovative materials. Carolina Morning thinks it's worth the effort, and the reward is that Medite 2 allows for design advantages that standard wood will not allow.

Fits most people 5'4" to 5'10" in the kneeling position

An optional kapok or buckwheat cushion is also available for the meditation bench.
